ARKO & The MOON
A New immersive art experience!
Arko & the Moon is a fully immersive experience that will transport guests into the artists’ colorful imaginative worlds. This exhibit is a collaboration between Arko and Luvly Moon that will transform the space at Flux Galleries in NoDa into surreal landscapes, natural spaces, and homey environments through murals, sculptures, projections and upcycled materials. Come spend time in a space that is unlike anything you’ve seen in Charlotte.
Playing on the idea of escaping into your imagination, Arko and the Moon is a collision of the vivid and colorful worlds of these two artists. Imagine slipping off your shoes and being able to cross a bridge that brings you into a space unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
As you pass through a surreal natural environment you can see the soft moss reclaiming a long abandoned throne and altar. You come across what feells like a collision of worlds. The soft dirt and moss give way to a bright kitchen space with a floor that undulates underfoot. The window shows a city built into the distance.
Arko and Luvly Moon are local mural, sculpture, and installation artists who focus on recycled and repurposed materials to create work. They have collaborated on several public installations in Charlotte including work along the SouthEnd Rail Trail and the Mint Museum Uptown.
