SprayCLT is a family friendly workshop created to address the interest of the community in public art, murals, and graffiti. The class starts with a short lesson on the connection of graffiti and street art to the explosion of public art in Charlotte and around the world and ends with a spray session giving participants a chance to spray their own names and characters in a safe controlled environment. When the session is over participants take home a small souvenir to remember their experience.

We aim to facilitate a spray painting experience that is accessible to the public, informative and engaging.
We do not consider ourselves graffiti artists. However, we were both strongly inspired by graffiti, skate, hip hop and punk rock cultures growing up and they have shaped our art as well as our missions as artists.
We realized how excited adults (and kids) get by the challenge of spray painting. After many people approaching us asking how can we learn this, or just TRY it- we decided to create a workshop.
-Each participant will learn tips for quick sketching and ideation
-Admission to the workshop includes PPE, a small pack of spray paint cans, a variety pack of spray caps and a memento to take home
-A short safety lecture and history lesson, followed by a sketch session with tips, feedback and interaction with all participants then over an hour of spray play!
